Kyle Anthony McDermott passed away on Thursday, September 17th just after midnight in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Services for “Kylo” will be broadcast live on Facebook on Friday, September 25th at 2PM at the link below: https://www.facebook.com/ResthavenFuneralHomeAndMemorialPark/
Kyle was born on April 5th, 1968 to Lehoma and Leland Bourland just 2 minutes before his twin brother, Kelly— he always bragged he was his mother's eldest son. The twins were later adopted by Robert L. McDermott, the father of their little brother, Kurt McDermott.
The boys grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Choctaw High School. They continued to higher education at Oklahoma State University in Business Management. During this time, he was a part of the most supportive and iconic friend group, which his mother lovingly called “The Rat Pack.” Kyle was very successful in the jewelry industry alongside his mother and brothers. They engineered (in record time) a million-dollar company. He was in a long-time relationship with Kristie Sheppard and together they produced the light of his life, Miss Andie Kay. Many would say Kyle was driven, fun-loving, lucky, successful, talented, and more. Kyle was a proud member of The Chickasaw Nation and known as an extraordinary brother, father, friend, husband, nephew, son, and uncle.
He was preceded in death by his father, stepfather, uncle, and grandmothers and grandfathers. He was survived by his mother Lehoma, twin brother Kelly, little brother Kurt, niece Jamie, daughter Andie Kay, wife Nadine, and so many other friends and family members. May Kyle rest in peace at the biggest disc golf course in Heaven.
