Mr. Roach was born in Brunswick County on April 19, 1935 and was the son of the late William Sermons Roach and Velma Robinson Roach. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Roach Hunter. He owned and operated Shoreline Properties which included Lakeside of Brunswick, Folly Estates, Forest Hills and others. For many years he owned and operated Roach’s Septic Tank Services. Mr. Roach was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Jetty Sullivan Roach of the home; children, Mark Gore (Angie) of Supply, Michelle Gore Stevens (Andrew) of Farmville, NC, Misti Gore Wooten (Kelly) of Supply; grandchildren, Kayla Rogers, Garrett Gore-Stevens, Dustin Gore-Stevens, Kendal Gore, Laney Wooten, Lynsey Wooten, Liddi Wooten, Cadance Prince and Lemuel Wooten; great-grandchildren, Amia and Mary Jane; a sister, Cecelia Roach Smith (Dennis) of Topsail Beach and a very special niece, Anita DelRe’ (Ben); sons, William Lee Roach, Wayne Kelly Roach and grandson, William Kelly Roach (Chelsea).
Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 16, 2022 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Reverend Anthony Clemmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Silent Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Kelly Wooten, Dennis Fronk, Chris Strange, Brad Cheers, Robert J. Robinson and Andrew Stevens.
Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Ludlum, Benny Ludlum, Doug Baxley, Rick Perry, Nick Butler, Phillip Robinson and David Pickard.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be directed to charity of ones choice in Alfonza’s memory.
