Wanda was born February 15, 1934 in Shallotte, NC, daughter of the late Olen and Martha Clemmons. She was the matriarch and the foundation of her family. She wore many hats, including, wife, mother, foster parent in her home as well as at The Boys and Girls Home of Lake Waccamaw, hospital volunteer, securities officer with Courtesy Services. Wanda loved working in her yard and gardening. She had been very active in her church, Oak Grove Baptist Church, a Girl Scout leader, and a softball coach.
Survivors include her two daughters, Donna Williford Renn and husband Michael, and Deborah Kennedy; a step-daughter, Ginger Spacey; a foster daughter, Angelina Terry; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Edison and husband Maurice.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Beam; a daughter, Diane Lynch; a granddaughter, Brenna; and a great-grandson, Robert; and two sisters, Eva Ward and Lou Ellen Burns.
The family will have visitation on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Dr., Shallotte. . A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the Oak Grove Cemetery with Reverend Kenny Locklear officiating.
