Sarah "Boots" Naomi Wilson Hewett

Ms. Hewett was born in Brunswick County on November 25, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Lewis Pink Wilson and Lucinda Andrews Wilson. She was wife of the late Jimmy Roger Hewett Sr. and was also preceded in death by her siblings, Mae Wilson, Carl Edgar Wilson, Frank Wilson and Berniece Etheridge. She worked in Brunswick County Schools Cafeteria for thirty years.

She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Hewett and wife Pam of Ocean Isle Beach and Douglas Hewett and wife Pam of Supply ; a sister, Mary Lou Cumbee and husband Gene of Supply; grandchildren, Chrissy Flanigan and husband Brian of Navarre, Fl., Stacey McCumbee and husband Jordan of Ash, Jessica Williams and husband Chris of Beaufort, SC and Douglas “Doogie” Hewett II and wife Lindsey of Supply and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 24, 2024 at eleven o’clock in the morning at White Funeral and Cremation Service Lou White Memorial Chapel, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte.

Pallbearers will be, Douglas “Trey” Hewett III, Bentley Hewett, Cameron Williams, Cole Flanigan, Carson Flanigan and Matthew Scott.

Interment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to acknowledge and give a very special thanks to Ms. Hewett’s caregivers , Shirley Robinson, Marie “Candy” Gore and Tammy Britt for the excellent care they provided during her time of illness.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
