Michael was born December 4, 1986 in Brunswick County, son of Janice Fowler Simmons and the late Wesley Sherwood Simmons. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant son River Wesley Simmons.
Survivors include his mother Janice Simmons of Ash; brother, Matthew Simmons and wife Kristina of Shallotte, April Loretta Bland and husband Abraham of Ash, and Courtney Jo Bland and husband Joe of Longwood; ten nieces and nephews; and his canine baby Zeus.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at two o'clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Shallotte Chapel with Reverend Donnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Bill Inman Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
