William “Bill” Arthur Roberts William “Bill” Roberts, age 94, died peacefully on January 26th, 2017, in Bellevue, WA. He is survived by his wife Juliana of 68 years, his son John Roberts, daughters Janis Short and Sally Marbry, grandchildren Teague Baldwin, Tristan Roberts, Bart and Chase Parsley, Brock Roberts, and three great-grandchildren Audri Roberts, Denaya Doerr, and Fionna Pruitt. Bill Roberts was a founding partner of Davies, Roberts, and Reid law firm which specialized in labor and trust law. Roberts was legal consul to a number of unions, including the Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust. He developed “Group Legal,” a prepaid legal insurance, which offered law services at affordable cost. Mr. Roberts was recognized by the WA. State Bar Assoc. for his fifty years of distinguished service to the legal profession. Born November 24th, 1922, in Denver, Colorado to Roderick Roberts and Myrtle Grace Harris, he was the youngest of five siblings. Bill attended Roosevelt and Garfield High Schools in Seattle. He was a graduate of the Univ. of Washington School of Law. As a WWII Veteran, he served in the US Army Signal Corps as a 1st Lieutenant in the Philippines. Bill Roberts touched and inspired many lives. He was incredibly kind and generous. He was intelligent, dependable, modest, and fun loving. He will be so missed.
