Born in 1968 and raised in Center, TX (Mt Gillion), Teresa made her way to Alaska after high school where she met her husband of 29 years, Henrik. They would relocate in a few years to Brier, WA, where they would reside and raise a family for next 25+ years. Teresa was a successful businesswoman and maintained a clothing store in Alaska and eventually became a Polish pottery seller in Bothell, Ada’s Polish Pottery, for over 13 years. She loved jazz, going to sporting events, and live concerts. She also loved spending time with her sweet bully pit, Nova, and growing vegetables in her amazing garden.
To know Teresa was to know her extremely big and kind heart, and that she loved and adored her family fiercely. She was the most outgoing and lively person with a larger-than-life personality. She always gave out the best non-judgmental, straight-forward, sound advice and was loved and cherished by so many people. She made an impact and lasting impression on every person she met. Her one-of-a-kind spirit will live in and with us forever.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arvest Harper and brothers, Terry and Oscar Harper. She is survived by husband Henrik Rasmussen, daughter Kesha Fountain, son Mikael Rasmussen (Brier, WA), daughter Takia Harper (Tyler, TX), mother and step-father Archie and Simmie Moffett (Garrison, TX), sister Sharon Harper Mayfield (Dallas, TX), brother Shaka Moffett (Garrison, TX) nieces Cierra Ramey, Imani Mayfield, Leah Mayfield, Keyona Harper (Dallas, TX), LaShannon Jones, Ternisha Yarbrough (Lufkin, TX), nephew Jared Ramey (Dallas, TX) and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Teresa was always dancing, and she loved to have a great time. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date in New Orleans, LA, her favorite place.
