Mary Ellen Doll

Mary Ellen Doll passed away on May 18th 2012 at Highline Hospital in Burien with her family by her side. She lost her 18 month long battle with cancer. She was born on March 26th 1938 in New England, North Dakota and was the fourth of thirteen children; Tony, Richard, Arlene, Bina, Ron, Betty, Ken, Zita, Patty, Clarence, Angie and Lorraine. In 1947, her family moved to a farm in Swanville, Minnesota where they were first able to enjoy the comforts of running water and electricity.

Ellen graduated high school in 1956 and soon moved to Spokane Washington where she met her future husband Tony Doll. They moved to Seattle shortly afterward and were married in 1958. They had four children; Dan, Tony, Kathy and Tom, four grandchildren; Amanda, Hilary, Alaina, Alexandria and four great grandchildren; Alexa, Yelina, Liliana and Luke. She worked for Qwest Communications for 22 years and retired in 1997. She is survived by her twelve brothers and sisters. Ellen liked reading mysteries, sewing, playing bingo and spending time her family. She will be dearly missed by all. You are encouraged to sign her guestbook.
