She was born on October 12th, 1946 in San Diego to Mary Alice and David Kimball Cochrane. The family eventually settled in Bellevue where Judith would go on to become a Wolverine alumni in 1964. She graduated from Seattle University in 1968 with a degree in Political Science. She then married and had a child.
In the mid 70's she began a robust career spanning nearly four decades in the municipal bond market. This included a weekly appearance in the Seattle Times business column and a daily radio spot on KOMO.
She was preceded in death by her oldest brother, third husband, and two grandchildren. She is survived by her first two husbands, two brothers and one sister, her son and daughter-in-law, and her six grandchildren.
Known for her beauty, kindness, and generosity, Judith spent her retirement years doing the things she loved (gardening, crossword puzzles, reading, watching movies, listening to rock and roll, etc.). Above all, she lavished love on her grandchildren.
Her celebration of life will be at the Butterworth Funeral Home on November 7th at 11:00 am followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a donation to a charity in her name, as Judith would say, "Pick one and knock yourself out."
