Helen Jessie Hansen

Helen is survived by her Husband Glen Hansen, her children, Corey Hansen (Debie), Denise Reed (Rich) and Keith Hansen (Sheree) and brothers and sister, Jim Tilton, Nancy Willey, and Fredrick Tilton, 13 grandchildren and 31 Great Grandchildren.

Helen excelled at everything she did and anyone who met her was drawn by her sunny personality and always smiling face.

She met the love of her life, Glen Hansen in High School, raised three children, and were happily married for 68 years.

She focused all her time and energy on her family. To this day, her children reminisce about the happy memories of their childhood … sports, scouting, outings, and the life skills she taught them.

She was an accomplished seamstress, and her large well stocked sewing room was one-of-a-kind. It was a second home to her granddaughters who have fond memories of sewing lessons and making special occasional clothing with Grandma. Skills they use to this day.

Helen and Glen lived in their beloved Redmond, Washington home for 22 years before moving to a retirement community due to her health needs. Glen lovingly cared for her throughout her illness

She will truly be remembered and missed by many.

Helen once described herself in a Seattle Times challenge as “Loved Long, Well, by four Generations,” a sentiment that was published and truly reflects her life. Helen passed just 10 days short of her 86th birthday. She will be remembered and missed by many.

A funeral service for Helen will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 16500 124th Ave NE, Woodinville, WA 98072, followed bu a graveside committal service at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
