Ernest ‘Ed’ Lang Jr. of Bothell,WA passed away October 26, 2022. He was 76 years old. Ed was born on November 9, 1945 to Ernest and Marjorie (Heikes) Lang in Seattle, WA. He grew up in Seattle and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1964. After high school he attended Junior College and then spent time in the Army. In 1967 Ed was hired by Washington Natural Gas where he worked for 35yrs. Before his official retirement, he was a bus driver for the Northshore School District.
In October 1969 he married Nancy Ottersen and they had two children. They later divorced. In October 1980 he married Debora Wagoner. After 41 yrs of marriage his wife Debora passed away June 14, 2022.
Ed was loved by everyone. He had a great personality, sense of humor and laid back attitude, he got along with all. Ed enjoyed being with family and friends. He loved watching his local sports teams. He was an avid golfer, playing at many different courses over the years. Ed and Debbie enjoyed traveling all over. His favorite travel spot was Maui. One of his favorite pastimes was swimming. Ed was known as Grandpa Bothell to his 4 grandchildren and loved having them over to swim. His pool hosted many parties over the years. He will be dearly missed.
Ed is survived by his two children Dax(Stiroh) Lang, Desi(Brian)Whalen. His grandchildren Austin, Cody, Amar and Malik. His Siblings Margene(Mick)Osgood and Richard(Collen)Lang. Several cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and great friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time. Details to be determined. Memorial donations may be made to research to Help Fight Alzheimer’s.
