Cinde was a kind and selfless person, fiercely devoted to her children and grandkids. She was a talented chef, always experimenting with new recipes. Her family always ate well! She was not only intelligent but extremely beautiful. She was a force to be reckoned with and always commanded a presence in any room she was in. She had a successful career in sales given her ability to connect with others. She made friends easily - her radiant smile highlighting her beautiful face. Her friends and associates bonded tightly to her. She was extremely proud of her sons and daughter, whom she raised with love and encouragement. She loved fishing, walking, and any activity that allowed her to spend time with her kids and grandchildren.
Cinde was closely tied to our country’s military services - her father Blake Smith a Marine officer who flew the nation’s presidents, first husband Mark Handlan, a naval aviator, and husband Kevin, an Air Force officer. Cinde revered her mother Jan Smith.
Cinde was a wonderful wife to her husband, who cherished her like no other. To say they shared an uncommon love fails to capture the immense joy they experienced together. Her loss has cratered his very being. If some measure of solace is possible, it is that Cinde is finally at peace.
Cinde is also survived by her daughter Danielle of Seattle, son Mark in Tampa, son Matt and his wife Katie in Frenchtown, Montana, and her two beautiful grandchildren, Blake and Harper.
May her memory be a blessing and a salve.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared below with the family.
