Anthony Donald DiPietro

Anthony “Tony" Donald DiPietro, age 81, passed away July 27, 2014 in Seattle, Washington. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Ruth DiPietro. Tony is survived by his daughter, Linda DiPietro-McCloskey (Benjamin D. McCloskey) and a step-son, Larry Chambers (Yvette), three grandchildren, Sara, Christopher & Casey, and two great grandchildren, Boe & Bailey. Also, he is survived by many loving cousins, family members and his two dogs, Daisy & Holly. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Lucia DiPietro.

Tony served proudly in the U.S. Coast Guard for several years and worked for over 41 years at Food Giant Stores (QFC). After retiring he was still very active with running a 2 acre working farm and spending time with his family. Tony was a very thoughtful and respectful person; above all, he was a very loving father and grandfather.

Visitation will be Friday, August 8, 2014 from 6pm-8pm at Yarington’s Funeral Home, 10708 16th Ave., SW, Seattle. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11am at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 15226 21st Ave., SW, Burien. Burial will follow at 2pm at Riverton Crest Cemetery, 3400 S. 140th St., Tukwila.
