Alison was born February 18, 1936 to Chuck and Josephine Easter. She grew up in North Seattle where she attended Lincoln High School and graduated from the University of Washington in 1958 with a BA in business. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and forever an avid Husky fan.
David Clements and Alison Easter were married 46 years, until Dave passed away at age 74 after a short battle with cancer in 2007. A few years later Alison met her loving partner Pete Ferren, with whom she enjoyed very special and fun-filled retirement years.
Alison was very generous and caring and embraced many fond memories of her life. She was our “outdoors” gal who cherished flying, crabbing, waterskiing, boating, fishing and sailing with her family and friends. She had a passion for her garden, nature, playing golf and “Mah Jongg” with friends. Alison truly enjoyed their vacation homes with her family at Tulalip Shores during summer months when the kids were young and Palm Desert in the winter during retirement.
Alison had a variety of Philanthropic interests including the Genevieve Henry Children’s Hospital Guild and the Noel Unit of Ryther Child Center. She also enjoyed her memberships at the WAC, The Sunset Club, Seattle Golf Club and Ironwood Country Club.
Above all, Alison adored her family and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, David B. Clements, son, Jon D. Clements and sister, Ann Campbell. She is survived by her children, Scott and Charley (Marybeth) Clements; two beloved granddaughters, Paige and Tia; sister Sara Easter and brother Charley Easter (Bel’Rae) and her many special nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Seattle Golf Club, 210 NW 145th, Seattle, WA., at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 30th, followed by a Reception to celebrate Alison’s life.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Ryther Child Center 2400 NE 95th St, Seattle, WA 98115 or a charity of your choice.
