Tremain M. Calloway, affectionately known as “Tito”, was born March 12, 1987 in Monterey, California to George Calloway & Sharon Johnson. He attended Del Rey Woods Elementary School, King Middle School and graduated from Monterey High School in 2005. Later, he attended Monterey Peninsula College.
In his younger years, Tremain attended the Oldemeyer Center where he learned to swim, shoot pool, play football and enjoyed going on community activities. He was also a member of Monterey Sports Center where he enjoyed playing basketball with his childhood friends. For the past nine years, Tremain worked for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS), where he was a very nurturing and loving caregiver to family members including his mother & grandparents.
Tremain was an active father to his children, Kalayah and Kordell. He participated in daily pickups, field trips and cooking dinner for the family. His favorite foods to cook were steak, shrimp & calamari. He enjoyed family outings such as going out to dinner, bowling, amusement parks and traditional movie nights. Tremain enjoyed listening to music and playing video games and was also a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He had a passion for sneakers, kept up with the latest fashion and loved shopping, especially for electronics. Tremain was a friend to everyone with whom he came in contact.
Tremain’s dream was to travel the world with Tamara, his fiancé of eleven years, and their children. He proposed to her on Mother’s Day of 2019 and they had extravagant plans for their wedding & honeymoon. They also had summer plans for this year that included Disneyland, camping and cruises.
Tremain was proceeded in death his son, Malyek Sanders; his father, George Calloway; his maternal grandmother, Olevia Lindsey; his aunt, Linda Lindsey and his cousin, Olivia Burgess. He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Sharon Johnson; his children, Kalayah and Kordell Calloway; his fiancé, Tamara Jackson; his maternal grandfather, George Lindsey; his brother, Anthony Perry (Athena-Smith Perry); his sister, Chevese Calloway; his brother, Vincent Turner; his sister, Chantea Johnson and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and loving friends.
