Suzy Holman, 55, went home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2017. She had fallen at home on December 27, 2016 and suffered a compound fracture of her right leg and the trauma caused a pulmonary embolism. Born in Carmel on January 18, 1962 to James Holman and Deanna Hyler Holman Prieto where she resided all her life. In her youth she was a star track athlete at Carmel High School. She worked for her family on the wharf as a stock clerk and helped her mother over the years caring for the many foster children that were brought into the family home. The first born and only girl in a family of boys she loved spending time going to her brothers sporting events. She was a bright light with an infectious smile. She loved all her younger brothers but held her own when it came down to sibling rivalry. She spent her week days at Paradigm Adult Services where she did arts and crafts and was loved by all her friends there. Suzy is survived by her daughter Samantha King (and baby Olivia in March.) Her mother Deanna and step-father Michael Prieto, her father James Holman and wife Pamela.
