Michael Braggs Jr. 43, of Seaside, California, passed away on December 10, 2020 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Born in Monterey, California to Yulunda Payne-Morse and Michael Braggs, Sr. on July 11, 1977, he grew up with his brothers, Charles Kimbrough, Jamal O’Shea, Jeremy Braggs and his sister, Kayla Morse.
A graduate of Seaside High School, Michael grew up in Seaside, California and was baptized at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. At a very young age, it was evident Michael was a comedian. He had a bold personality, expensive taste, and an eye for shoes. He took great pride in his appearance and he always dressed to impress.
Michael worked as a truck driver for Walmart for three years. In 2018, Michael went to school and became a truck driver for USXPRESS. His goal was to own his own trucking company. Michael could light up a room. He was a man of God - strong-minded, self-motivated, and bright spirited. He will always be remembered for making people laugh and smile and for living his life to the fullest.
Michael known as Muggzy or Chug-a-bug, always put God first and he loved to write affirmations daily to help all his family and friends stay strong and keep their head up no matter what.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not into your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path.
Matthew 11:28
Come into me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one. I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles as God prepared my wings, my crown, and my pass. I’d like to leave an echo whispering “Michael” softly next to you on standby. I’d like God to remind all that know me, the good, the bad, and the ugly. I’d like the tears of those who grieve to dry their eyes because my eyes have seen the glorifying lights of Heaven’s gates welcoming me in. I’d like everyone to remember that today is no ordinary day because Michael was no ordinary man.
Stay focused, stay awake because you know the battle is not yours, it’s the Lord‘s. Computers watches and any technology mastermind Michael would hook it up no problem. Michael as a man was obedient. He had hopes and dreams for this world one day he said he was going to drive trucks and he manifested this skill until his calling from God came real.
Michael would always show up at the perfect time and when he left he always left with an “alabu” meaning I love you. He had gained the trust of so many hearts that if he was not on Facebook his fan base would be looking for him sending shout outs, kindly texting and calling him to get back on Facebook. Michael was a trustworthy man for women, if you needed him to clean, cook, or watch the kids, he was the one to do it.
Michael loved this world so much. He was going everywhere before he moved back to Louisiana, where his father resides. I remember asking “Michael where are you?“ and he responded “ochahese.” Then I said “Boy you need to come back to Seaside, you sound country.” If he were here today he would get on Facebook and tell us to keep our heads up and check on my moms, my gramps, my family and friends. Michael brought everyone that kind of joy in life that's unmatched to any other.
RIPARADISE Michael. I love you Muggzy, “alabu”, Mom
