Jim was raised in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, by his wonderful mother and his maternal grandparents. He loved to tell stories about growing up there with his brother and sister. After graduating from high school, he attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Upon entering military service, he served in the Army Special forces. Most of his working career after serving in the military, was spent with Mobil Oil and Parkland Hospital District. Jim was a hard-working responsible parent, who always tried to do what was best for his children.
Jim had wonderful memories of early hunting experiences with his grandfather. After Jim retired, he was able to enjoy his dream of upland bird hunting. The hunting community was full of wonderful people, and he made many very good friends. His retirement was spent "living his dream." He was surrounded by several family members when he passed from this life. He knew he was loved, and he will be missed by many.
He is survived by his sister, Sandra Gindt, of Lander, Wyoming, and her husband, Mel, and by his brother, Mike Sinor, and his wife, Janice, of Whitelaw, Wisconsin. He is survived by his daughter, Gina Spence, and her husband, David, of Waxahachie, Texas, son, James P. Sinor, and wife, Marci, of Mansfield, Texas, and daughter, Sheryl Sinor of Garland, Texas.
He is survived also by grandchildren, Jessica Stepanian, and husband, Bryan, Amy Reed, Ashley Ceglarek, Kayley Sinor, Tristan James Eames, and Colin Sinor, two great grandchildren, one niece, two nephews, sister-in-law, Robin Ballantine, and his wife of 43 years, Cheryl.
