Mr. Gerald Don Sanders

Don Sanders passed away at his home in Dallas, Texas on October 16, 2015. He was born October 30, 1945 in Kaufman County, Texas to Willie Virgil Sanders and Mary Opal Lee Latham. He is preceded in death by his parents. Left with cherished memories is his loving and devoted wife of 51 years Linda; his son Garry Sanders & partner Jim Johnston; daughter Lisa Mixon & husband Kenneth (Bubba); daughter Amy Lemmons & husband Rubin; daughter Barbara Langston & husband Paul; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother Billy Sanders and wife Mary; sister Kathy Burden & husband Gerald; brother Albert Latham and wife Carol; sister Sue Floyd and many nieces, nephews cousins and other family loved ones and beloved friends. Don was a self employed master electrician. He was very well known in and around the Seagoville, area. He was considered the “Go To” man when advice was needed because Don seemed to know it all. He was a good natured man with a sense of humor. He loved jokes and he loved to laugh. He could often be seen sitting under a tree, sipping a cup of coffee and watching people. Don enjoyed spending time with his family, whether it was supervising the cooking at the Easter family gatherings or sitting with the grandkids at the “Liars Table” at Denny’s. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6-8pm Tuesday October 20, 2015 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 2:00pm Wednesday October 21, 2015 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, Texas. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Seagoville, Texas.
