As a young man, Gary was a driller for various geotechnical engineering firms, including Mason & Johnson and Reed Engineering. During his later years, he was a delivery driver for John Cook and Associates. Gary enjoyed playing guitar and listening to classic rock music. He loved metal detecting, rock collecting, scratching lotto tickets and watching westerns.
Gary is survived by 3 children, Ryan Taylor of Mabank, TX, Shanna (Jason) Spencer of Carlisle, IA, and Gary (Stacy) Taylor of Heartland, TX; 10 grandchildren: Colton, Brooklyn, Megan, Tyler, Bethany, William, Emily, Chloe, Conley and Molly; his sisters, Robyne and Diane, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Buddie and Betty, brothers, Roger, Danny and Steve, and his sister, Debbie.
A memorial service for Gary will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159.
