Cheryl Ann Johnston

Cheryl grew up in the Pleasant Grove neighborhood of Dallas and started her family early in life. She raised her three sons with the loving support of her mother before relocating to Seagoville in 1990. In 1999, she began her 22 year long career in real estate. After several years selling homes, Cheryl joined the UMoveFree apartment locating family alongside her son Kenny until her retirement in 2021.

A trail-blazer in her own right, Cheryl met her husband Kevin in the early days of the internet in a Yahoo chatroom. They were married May 19, 2007 and shared their lives together until his passing in November 2024.

Cheryl could often be found tending to her beloved garden. She took pleasure in nurturing her plants and was always on the hunt to add more to her collection. She cherished time with her family and took great pride in watching her grandchildren grow.

She is survived by her sons Kenneth “Kenny” Ringer (Christi), Charles “Charlie” Howell (Suzie), and William Todd Howell; brother Dennis Signs; grandchildren Lillian “Lilly” Ringer, Hayley Wyatt, Lindsey Wyatt, Daelin Tucker, Charles Jack Howell Jr., Katie Howell, and Skyler Howell; and great-grandson Isaiah Ringer. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth Leroy and Myrtle Hazel Signs; her loving husband Kevin Johnston; and brothers Richard Signs and William “Bill” Signs.

Cheryl will be deeply missed by her 3 sons and the many that knew and loved her.
