He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all that knew and loved him.
He was born on August 25, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to Charlie and Willie Bell Shepherd.
Bobby graduated from Seagoville High School on May 26, 1961. He was a member of the United States Air Force from September 1961 to September 1965. He married the love of his life, Gloria Floyd, on December 30, 1965. They enjoyed their free time together before he joined the Garland Fire Department in February of 1966. After retiring from the fire department in 1996, he enjoyed his days relaxing and fishing at their lake house on Cedar Creek Lake. He enjoyed having his family and friends over for fish frys and visiting.
He is survived by his wife Gloria Shepherd; Children, Kevin and Sholeena Shepherd, and Keith and Kimberly Hartis; Grandchildren, Koby and Julia Hartis, Kole Hartis and Emma Lawley, Eugene and Anita Tate, Sara and David Hoffmeisger; Great Grandchild, Katelyn Tate; Brother, Charlie Wayne and wife Nereida Shepherd; Sister, Velta Baldwin and Sister, Oleta and husband Dean Snowden; Brother Jimmy and wife Barbara Shepherd, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Willie Bell Shepherd; Sisters Cora Ellen Prestridge and Jessie Mae Ramsey and Brother-in-law H. R. (Rip) Baldwin.
The visitation will be held from 2 – 3 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Roselawn Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Combine, Texas. Services will be officiated by Roy Gafford. Song leading by Alan Goodson, and solo by Bobby Crow.
