Andres "Andy" Escalante

Andres Escalante, age 65, entered into rest on November 11, 2024 in Kaufman, Texas. He entered life on September 28, 1959, in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, to parents Juan and Francisca Escalante. Andres was raised in Harlingen, Texas.

He married Maria Alicia Escalante in 1983 and the couple had two children. He was an entrepreneur and ran his own successful business, Man Power Electric, Inc. for 27 years with more to come.

In his spare time, Andres enjoyed spending time with the family. He also loved to attend his grandchildren's sports activities no matter how far ahead in time or date, he was always there to cheer them on. Andres also loved going to the casino.

His family and friends will always remember him as a great husband, father, and grandfather. A very strong man who worked hard and had a remarkable work ethic.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Francisca; brother, Juan; inlaws, Victoriano and Concepción Huerta; sister-in-laws, Rosalinda Huerta and Lydia Huerta; and, his brothers-in-law, Raul Garcia, and Ramiro Saucedo.

Andres is survived by his lovely wife, Maria Alicia of 40 years; two daughters, Krystal (Osiel Martinez) and Andi Marie; and three lovely grandchildren who were his pride and joys, Giovani, Gizelle, and Eliana Martinez. Five siblings, Janie (Cleto) Hernandez, Leonar Garcia, Felipa Saucedo, Francisco (Blanca) Escalante, Reymundo Escalante; and many nieces and nephews.

He will be dearly missed by his loved ones and everyone that had the opportunity to meet him. His favorite quote was "You can make it if you try." Also, something he would always say was that he was very lucky and a blessed man with all that he has.

A visitation for Andy will be held Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, with a rosary service at 7:00 PM. A funeral celebration will occur Monday, November 18, 2024 at 10:00 AM followed by fellowship time with Mariachi music to celebrate Andy's Life.

To honor his wishes, Mr. Escalante will be cremated following services.
