Ruth D. Hoover, 98, passed away in October 2021 at Solterra Senior Living in Chandler.
Ruth was born and raised in Nanty-Glo, Pa. She married William D. Hoover and they moved to Phoenix in 1950 seeking relief for his asthma. Employed by Motorola until her retirement she eventually moved from west Phoenix to Bella Vista in Mesa where she resided for several years. She always enjoyed dancing and her lemon pie was legendary with family at the holidays.
Preceded in death by her parents William and Harriet and ex-husband William, sisters Elizabeth, Mamie, Velma and brother John.
Survived by her son Bill (Barbara), grandchildren Eric (Michally), Brandon (Tina), and eight great-grandchildren, Ashlynn, Madison, Caitlin, Isabella, Greyson, Julian, Deeghan and Jaelynn. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. At her request no services were held.
