Robin was born in Modesto, California and raised in the Bay Area.
After graduating from Washington High School in Fremont, she moved to the quaint beach town Cayucos, California where she studied nursing in San Luis Obispo. After some time, Robin found her passion for home interior design, where she spent over 35 years in sales and design management for distinguished home builders turning a blank canvas into warm, loving homes. She had an impeccable eye for interior design, mixing and matching patterns, textures and decor styles.
While Robin was a hard-working career woman, she always found time for her family—especially her son, Nick. Family was the most important thing to Robin, through thick and thin, she put them first. On September 23, 2011 Robin married the love of her life Marty, and her family grew with the addition of two adult children. Robin and Marty lived in Danville for close to 10 years before relocating to Scottsdale, Arizona.
Robin was full of life and exuded so much love. She’s a woman who had a heart of gold, strong faith and love for the Lord, and knew how to throw one heck of a party (she could feed an army no matter when she entertained). She loved decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas when she turned her home into a magical winter wonderland.
Additionally, Robin knew how to shop, always fashion-forward wearing the latest trends even to her very last breath. She just lit up a room with so much love, compassion, and joy—and of course, wearing her favorite pink lipstick.
Robin led an incredible life of giving, guiding and protecting. Her kindness, warmth and generosity made ripples with those around her. She was a fun, kind-hearted person who was always up for a good time and shared a deep, personal connection with her children. Robin is a true example of a warrior who fought to the end. She will be greatly missed.
Robin was a precious and wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Marty Rosenzweig, son, Nick Houser, two step children, Sean and Fara Rosenzweig, mother, Jane Phelps, three brothers and their significant others, Daryl and Maile, Warren and Diane, and Jodie and Christy Phelps, soul sister and best friend, Denise Kroll, and three adorable yet yappy dogs, Yankee, Rocco and Gracie Girl.
The family is appreciative of everyone who cared for Robin and sends their warmest gratitude, especially to the medical staff at Envita Medical Center, doctors Kara Asbury and Shirin Nafisi, Home Caregivers, Fran and Lorraine, and Hospice.
