Richard Leland Rowe

Richard Leland Rowe- Richard passed away in Gold Canyon, Arizona on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at the age of 77. He was born March 28th in Waterbury, Connecticut.. The 4th child of Wendel Lauriston Rowe and his wife Candace Ferguson Ostrander Rowe of Waterbury, Connecticut. Richard is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Wendel L. Rowe Jr, Paul J. Rowe, Faith D. Grodis, and Carl D. Rowe. He is survived by his wife Sandra (Sandy) Lee Rowe, daughter Jennifer L. Silva-Nix, grandsons and 3 siblings Robert C. Rowe Sr, Charles E.Rowe and David L Rowe, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Richard graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics Technology and worked as an engineering technician. He liked to travel all over, and loved to share stories about his travels. Richard was an explorer. From scuba diving, to piloting planes, riding in hot air balloons and hiking anywhere his feet could take him. He truly loved experiencing the great outdoors more than the average person. Richard enjoyed watching Disney movies, Westerns and many movies such as Somewhere in Time and The Timetraveler’s Wife.

Richard will be cremated and laid to rest next to his Mom at Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale, Arizona. A celebration of life will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2020.
