Rebecca (Becky) Green Swatzell, 94, passed away on October 25, 2017. She was born in Graves County, Kentucky on December 6, 1922 to Lorena and Gurvis Green. On October 25, 1941, she married her sweetheart, Wilton Swatzell and they were married for 61 years. They had two sons, Robert and James; 5 grandchildren, Penny (Jeff) Miller, Lori (Abel) Garlant, Patty (Rick) Marshall, Steve (Bridgett) Swatzell, Beke (Rob) Stone; 15 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Becky worked many years as a hairdresser and she loved to sew. She was dedicated to her family and a devout churchgoer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton; her son, Robert and her sisters, Patsy and Adele; her parents, Lorena and Gurvis and her great-grandson, Christopher. Services will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Maricopa. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. with the burial following services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Rebecca’s memory to Northern Arizona Hospice, 203 S. Candy Lane, Suite 10A, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
