It is with great sadness that our family shares the passing of Marilyn McMurray . Marilyn was born the second oldest of 4 children, raised by her mother, Flora Means, and father, Melvin Means. She graduated from Camelback High School in Phoenix; and later became a proud graduate of University of Phoenix receiving a bachelor’s degree in business management. Marilyn eventually retired from Motorola as a production supervisor. Marilyn brought to all who knew her, kindness, fun times, laughter, and jokes. She was a loving and affectionate mom, grandma, sister, and aunt. She also loved her long term friends and their children as sisters, sons and daughters. She also made wonderful close relationships with her long term coworkers. She loved animals and she was the loving fur mom and rescuer to many pets over the years. She loved to hear stories and tell stories, music, bird watching, good food, and go on adventures with her family. Even in life’s challenges Marilyn tried to find the silver lining wherever she could. She was a great person, and we would have not traded her for the world. Marilyn survived by her son- Troy McMurray; grandson- Lincoln McMurray; two brothers- Wayne and Dean Means; sister in law- Cindy Means; and her daughter in law, Jaime Rizzo.
May you Rest in Peace, Marilyn. You will be missed and loved forever.
Dinner will be served at a Celebration of Marilyn’s Life- Sunday September 26, 2-4pm at Green Acres Mortuary in Scottsdale Arizona.
