James Allen Bebow, 73, passed in Scottsdale, AZ, on April 17, 2013. He was born on March 6, 1940, in St. Louis, MI, to loving parents Martin and Iva (Longenbach) Bebow, and baptized shortly after in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Later he was confirmed in the same church on April 24, 1953. His career started at Chevrolet, in Flint, Michigan, as he was earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI. He moved to Scottsdale, AZ in January 1963. From 1963-1998 he worked at Motorola in the Accounting Department. He married the love of his life, Phyllis Purdue, on September 21, 1968, in Phoenix, AZ. He was a Charter member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church and he was also a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in 1984. He is preceded by his parents; twin sister Judith; and sister Treasa. He is succeeded by his loving wife Phyllis; daughter Judith (Jim) Hallas of Scottsdale, AZ; son Charles (Susan) Bebow of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren Anthony Hallas, Alyssa Hallas, Samantha Bebow, Nathan Bebow, Lila Bebow, and Trey Bebow; sister Caroline (Bill) Carter of Lansing Michigan; sister Alice (Dick) Bethka of Anchorage, AK; brother Ted (Kathryn) Bebow of Montrose, MI; sister Kathleen Butler of Sterling Heights, MI. Visitation is scheduled from 4pm-7pm Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, AZ, 85257. Funeral Service is scheduled for 10:00AM Monday, April 22, 2013, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 715 W Southern Ave, Tempe, AZ, 85282.
