Born July 20, 1950, in Corpus Christi, Texas, was lovingly received by his Lord and Savior on July 1, 2012 at the age of 61, in the presence of his family. The son of James D. and Ernestine M. Baillie, Jim graduated from Westwood High School in 1968. He volunteered to serve in the U.S. Navy as an Electronics Technician (Radar) and was honorably discharged in 1974 as a Petty Officer Second Class (PO2). Jim received his Bachelor's and Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering, with honors, from Arizona State University. After 26 years of employment at Motorola, he retired and pursued his dream of becoming a Vice President, first as the Vice President of Quality and Reliability at Intersil and then as the Vice President of Global Quality at Freescale Semiconductor. Jim also served as a faithful member, the Head Usher and a Deacon at Trinity Baptist Church. Jim touched many lives during his time on earth and will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Linda Ann Baillie; his loving daughter Laura M. Baillie; 3 loving sons, James (Laura G.) Baillie, Jacob (Jennifer) Baillie, Jonathan Baillie; 7 dear grandchildren; 2 loving sisters, Karen Baillie, Pamela (Kevin) Enright and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jim is preceded in death by his mother Ernestine. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm, Friday, July 6, 2012 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2130 East University Drive, Mesa, AZ.
