She was born on September 30, 1961 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Henry and Helga Hanelt (nee Chwalisz).
She attended Catholic Central High School in Grand Rapids, and graduated in 1979.
In 1984, she graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s degree in German Studies.
She moved with her family to Phoenix, Arizona in 1987.
Diana met her future husband, Thomas Wills, at St. Anne Parish in Gilbert, Arizona in 1996. They married in November of 1998.
Diana was loved by many people who were inspired by her gentleness and deep faith. She was a kind and loving soul who brought happiness to friends and co-workers alike.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas, her daughter Emily, and sisters Claudia Karat (Tennessee), and Martina Meisenheimer (Illinois).
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 3rd 2024, at 10am at St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church. A graveside service will be held later that day at 11:30am, at Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery.
