Danny Ray Belcher

He graduated from Westwood high school in Mesa, Arizona. Although he attended some college classes in accounting, he eventually got the calling to drive professionally a city bus. Danny drove bus for Valley Coach, which was eventually taken over by Veolia transportation. He spent several years driving Rural road in Tempe all the way to north Scottsdale road. Eventually Dan would drive bus at the Sky Harbor Airport. He drove bus for over 27 years and had a Safe Driver award for at least 12 years.

Danny was also a proud member of the Amalgamated Transit Union local 1433 since 1989. Dan also attended the Rocky Mountain Labor School, AFL-CIO in July of 1989. Where he learned the skill of memorizing the union by laws well and learned the art/ability to argue and negotiate the contracts very well. He served as shop Steward for many years. He eventually became a member of the Executive Board of the ATU. Danny was well known to his Union brothers and sisters!

Danny is preceded in death by his father Millard Belcher and mother, Imogene Belcher. He is survived by his brothers, Jerry (Annette), David, Frank (Patsy) Belcher and Bruce Turner. His nephews, Alec and Lee Belcher, and several aunts, and cousins in Ohio.
