Raymond G. Willman, 89, of Scottsbluff, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010, at Chimney Rock Villa in Bayard. His funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Ed Hunzeker officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery at Scottsbluff. Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Ray was born August 7, 1921, in Sterling, Colorado to Henry and Katherine (Stroh) Willman. He married Shirley Kelley, May 28, 1944, spending 54 years together. They moved from Riverton, Wyoming in 1946, to Stegall, where they farmed until 1970. He worked for Famer’s Irrigation and farmed part time until his retirement in 1986. He loved to travel around the country, to talk with old friends and to make new friends. He collected novelty clocks. In recent years he could be seen cruising West 27th Street and Walmart on his scooter. Survivors include children, Don (Cathleen) Willman of Topeka, Kansas, Sharon (Larry) Schneider of Mitchell, Jane (Ed) Brown of Gering, and Ed (Becky) Willman of Morrill. He has six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Helen Dishman of Gering, Mildred Long of Sterling, Colorado, Marge Robinson of Mesa, Arizona, and Marilyn Burpee of Casper, Wyoming; and brother, Ed Willman of Fruita, Colorado. Ray was preceded in death by is wife, parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
