Born 12/14/36 Died 3/11/24
Eddie was born to Alex and Elizabeth Meininger in Minatare, NE on Dec. 14, 1936. In 1954 he met Kay Hansen, his “peach of a wife” as he lovingly called her. They were married Dec. 15, 1957 and had 2 children Randy and Connie. Ed and Kay farmed in Lyman, Scottsbluff, Gering and Minatare, NE until he retired in Scottsbluff in 1998 where he continued with his love of growing green things and meticulously took care of his lawn that he could make look and feel like green velvet. He loved using his farming skills and his John Deere tractor to do snow removal and weed patrol for Westway Christian Church. Ed and Kay moved to the Residency in Scottsbluff in October 2022 where they have made many new friends and Ed was lovingly called ‘Puzzle King’. Their church home, Westway Christian Church (formerly The Church at Bryant) is near and dear to their hearts. They have been loved and cared for by them for most of their 66 years of marriage.
