Cora L. Turner, 45, of Gering, passed away at the home of a dear friend surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, following a valiant battle with cancer. A memorial has been established in care of the family, contributions may be made in care of Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel, 3201 Avenue B, Scottsbluff, Nebraska 69361. Cora was born on October 16, 1965, in Wolf Point, Montana to Donna Sample and Leon Turner. Cora was a very positive, loving, giving and forgiving person. She quickly made friends with any customer she served, and was known for her quick wit, contagious smile, and delightful laughter. Cora lived by the Golden Rule and would not hesitate to help any person or creature in need. She will be sorely missed. Cora is survived by seven siblings and her sons, Jarron Gomez of Scottsbluff, Bradley Gomez of Lincoln, and Airman First Class Dallas Jaramillo, currently deployed in Iraq. Cora has three lovely granddaughters by Jarron and Tanya: Ayita, Navari, and Velysia. Cora will also be missed by her nieces, nephew, many cousins and other family members. Her wish was for family and friends to reunite, to forgive, to laugh, and to love.
