She was born and resided in Jamaica Plain, MA and settled in Scituate, MA for many decades. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Fritz Ritter, father Charles, mother Nora (Lyons), sister Joan, brothers John, Charles, and Paul. She is survived by sister-in-law Nancy, nephew Michael (wife Carol), niece Catherine (husband Charles), great niece Hailey and a lifelong friend Grace Donahue.
Marie was a devout Catholic who enjoyed spending time with family, friends and neighbors. She took great pleasure in her daily walks along the shore, book club, traveling and ski club.
Visitation at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd., Scituate Monday June 12, 2023 8-9:30 AM. Funeral Mass at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery.
