Lorraine was born and raised in Dedham and graduated from Dedham High School in 1957. Lorraine graduated with a nursing certificate from Framingham Union Hospital School of Nursing in September 1960. Her career spanned 40 years and took her to various medical facilities on the South Shore. She retired from nursing after working more than 20 years at the offices of Drs. Seidel and Serino in Scituate.
Lorraine loved traveling with her family and had many adventures with her nursing school friends, especially her best friend Nancy Finnerty of Scituate. She and Frank spent many years on visits to the Berkshires visiting their daughter Janice and staying at the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, touring the area and going to Tanglewood. They then often travelled on to Saratoga Springs during the horse racing season. She also enjoyed reading, attending family gatherings and taking long walks with Frank in her beloved Scituate.
