Donna L. Avila

Donna L. (Brigham) Avila, 65 of Scituate passed away on April 15, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. Donna is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years Robert D. Avila, loving children Craig Avila and wife Cara of Rehoboth, MA, and daughter Robin Carey and her husband Scott of Walpole, MA and brother Allen Brigham of Longmont, CO. She was the adoring Nonnie of 1 grandson and 3 granddaughters.

She was born in Weymouth, MA and raised in Hyde Park, NY. She attended Colorado State University. Donna was a resident of Scituate, MA for over 39 years and was the owner of the Silver Ribbon in Pembroke, MA and was an accomplished weaver. Upon retirement, she loved spending time with her pets and grandchildren building Lego creations and coloring masterpieces.

She was always able to make you feel welcome through her meals, her smiles and her warm hospitality.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, April 19th from 4-8 PM at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 20th at 10AM followed by burial at Groveland Cemetery, Scituate.
