Virginia “Ginny” Mae Wolfe, a lifelong resident of Richland, passed into eternity on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, after 94 plus years of quite a life! She was born on July 31, 1930 to Ralph and Ranna (Gabler) Layser. Ginny is survived by a sister, Doris (Peg) Auman, wife of Gordon (Chub) and her daughter-in-law Dara. There are also several nieces and nephews who have many memories of her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward S. Wolfe Sr. and son Edward S. Wolfe, Jr.
One of seven children, she was both mischievous and a hard worker from a young age. She had a phenomenal memory, she was the “go to” person for family and friends, because Ginny KNEW. Ginny was an avid puzzler, crafter and dabbled a bit in painting. Her occupations started with picking tomatoes and stripping tobacco as a young person and settling into work as a sewing machine operator for her remaining work life. Ginny was a member of Millcreek Lutheran Church. A private service for friends and family will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to her church or Wellspan Hospice.
