Virginia Buswell Link

Virginia Buswell Link of Brewster, NY passed away on September 22, 2024 in Bradenton, Florida.She was born in New Rochelle, NY to Ann Elizabeth McFarlin and Walter Hunley Buswell on February 21, 1932. She attended Roosevelt High School and graduated in 1949. She also studied attended and received secretarial and administrative certificates.

Virginia had a successful administrative career at Reader’s Digest, Union Carbide Corporation in New York City and later at Suburban Propane in Brewster, NY. She retired from Suburban in 1994. She was an active member of Asbury Crestwood United Methodist Church in Tuckahoe, NY, a choir member, and church secretary. She and her husband, Arthur, were active supporters of the Brewster community and its volunteer fire department.

Virginia is survived by her daughter Susan Berrios (Jose) of Bradenton, Florida, Grandson Juan “JC” Berrios (Terri) of Columbus, Ohio, and Brother-in-Law William Vollmer (Janet) of Newtown, CT. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Arthur J. Link, her son Arthur C. Link of Houston, TX, her brother Claiborne, sisters Jean Sage, and Elizabeth (Betty).

A celebration of life service will be held at Asbury Crestwood United Methodist Church at 11:00 am, on Saturday, October 12, 2024, with Reverend Jason Radmacher, Pastor, officiating.

Memorial donations in Virginia’s name may be made to the American Heart Association.
