Janet Liscio

Janet Liscio, passed away on October 15, 2024. She was 93 years old. Janet was born on March 4, 1931 in Eastchester, New York to the late John and Marion Giandolfi. She had 2 sisters, Eleanor and Dorothy who predeceased her. Janet was born and raised in Eastchester and married Ray, her high school sweetheart. They were voted Romeo and Juliet of the Eastchester High school class of 1950. They were married for 54 years until his death on January 6, 2007. Janet began a career in fashion, first as a co-owner of a women's clothing store, The Fashion Den, in Tuckahoe then pursuing her retail career with Lord and Taylor. She and Ray retired and moved to Wynmoor Village in Coconut Creek , Florida. While there, Janet enjoyed golfing, relaxing by the pool and making ceramics. Janet is survived by her daughter Kathy (Bob) Young, her son John (Gloria), grandchildren Janet (Phil), Robert (Nicole), Thomas (Devon), Gianelle (Louis) and Gabriella (Joseph) as well as six great grandchildren Paxton, Robert Jack, Giuliana, Lennon, Logan and Rylee. In lieu of flowers donations made be made to The American Heart Association or St. Jude.

A visitation for Janet will be held Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home, 824 Scarsdale Ave, Scarsdale, NY 10583. A Funeral Mass will occur Friday, October 18, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at Church of the Assumption, 100 Pleasant Ave, Tuckahoe, NY 10707. A committal service will occur Friday, October 18, 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Rd, Hartsdale, NY 10530.
