Zena McDonald

February 24, 1933- September 20, 2021

Peacefully Passed away at Scarborough General Hospital at the age 88.

Zena is survived by her loving Husband William of 64 years.

She was the only daughter of James Laird and Elizabeth Laird.

Zena was retired from the city of Scarborough Planning Department.

In her youth Zena was a member of the Parkdale Lions Girls Band whose members still gather to this day.

She was a great knitter of sweaters. Zena had no children but always had a multitude of children that she thought the world of. A Visitation for Zena will be held Friday, September 24 , 2021 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Paul O’Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E, Scarborough, ON M1R2Y8. Due to the COVID guidelines guests are still required to follow the mandate of two metres (six feet) physical distancing. 25 people will be permitted in the room at a time. Guests may be required to wait in line prior to entering the funeral home. Upon entry to the funeral home guests will be required to provide their contact information for the purpose of contact tracing. Masks or face coverings are required indoors.

A private cremation to follow.

Zena will be laid to rest in the family plot at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
