We were deeply saddened to hear about Luciano's passing. Having spent most of my life knowing him and Gemma, I knew him better as Louie. Our families lived next door for over 50 years, and at one point, Louie and Gemma stayed with my grandparents, Frank and Doris Palmer, for a short period of time. Louie was a great person and a good neighbor. I was always impressed by what a talented singer he was. He will be missed.

So  sorry to hear of the passing of your father and grandfather.
His picture shows us that he was a beautiful man with a beautiful spirit. He is in heaven now with his Heavenly Father.  There will be no pain or suffering in heaven, just joy,, As God is holding him in His arms you will be holding him in your hearts till end of time. Dear Eunice, Franco, Cassandra, and Christian - my heartfelt condolences for your and your family's loss. I hope your thoughts are full of fond and lasting memories of your father, father in law, and nonno.

We were incredibly fortunate to have Luciano, Franco, and Mario frame our family home. As our house began to take shape, we started asking Luciano “When will the framing be done?”, and he would always answer “You’ll know”. 

This went on for several days until we arrived at the building site to see the better part of an apple tree fixed to the peak of the roof. The framing was completed! Luciano explained it was his tradition, to acknowledge the completion of framing with this tradition. It symbolized the beginning of new growth and that he hoped our family would prosper in our new home. 

In the era of build as fast as you can, we very much appreciated a true craftsman, and his sons, taking such care to build our family home. Luciano, you were a gentleman through and through and it was an honour to know you.

I never expected that this is your first and last time meeting my son personally, you only talked to him once over the phone and since then you always asked me about him every time I am with you. You even told him to call you nonno, and he’s the happiest. You’re so happy seeing him, and you felt a bit sad when you knew we are moving to another province. My son never forget the day you met each other. Thank you so much our dearest, Señor Luciano.

This is the first and last time I cooked you some pasta, my heart is so full when you said that you love it.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire family.

Louie was our next-door neighbour for many years in Scarborough. I remember him having a hearty  laugh and always inviting us in for Vino and food , generally which Gemma had cooked., always delicious.
We had many shared  drinks and dinners and conversations out on the porch , the kitchen and in the backyard where we  played bocce ball ,  they were such fun and pleasant neighbours , and we were all very close. Please give my sincere condolences to everyone in the family , especially you, Gemma and Mario,  he will definitely be missed by all of his friends and family.
