Donna Monica Alphonso

Donna died peacefully on Sunday, October 24th, 2021 after fighting for many months following a sudden stroke. Predeceased by Michael ‘Mike’, her beloved husband and best friend, Donna was the cherished mother of Natalie and Jared (Aalya) and devoted ‘Nana’ to Anthony, Jonathan, Marcus, Ava, Isaiah and Jayden. Predeceased by her sister Elizabeth ‘Lizzy’ (William), she is also lovingly remembered and forever missed by her brothers Horace (Deanna), Len (Jenn) and Alex (Shirley) and her many nieces and nephews.

Donna touched the lives of so many and will live on in the memory of her family, extended family and her many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.

A visitation for Donna will be held Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Paul O’Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E, Scarborough, ON M1R2Y8. A visitation will occur Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E, Scarborough, ON M1R2Y8.

Due to the COVID guidelines guests are still required to follow the mandate of two metres (six feet) physical distancing. 34 people will be permitted in the room at a time. Guests may be required to wait in line prior to entering the funeral home. Upon entry to the funeral home guests will be required to provide their contact information for the purpose of contact tracing. Masks or face coverings are required indoors.

A Funeral Mass will occur Monday, November 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Aidan Roman Catholic Church, 3501 Finch Avenue East, Scarborough, ON M1W 2S2.

An interment will occur Monday, November 1, 2021 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 33 Memory Gardens Lane, North York, ON M2H 2K4.
