James Lee Wilson, Sr., passed away on October 27, 2013 after a short illness. He was born in Indianapolis, IN June 10, 1930. He served in the Air Force as a Staff Sargent till 1954. He married Malda Wilson of Savannah in 1951. He worked at Southland Oil then Colonial Oil of Savannah till his retirement in 1993. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Savannah attending the Masters Sunday School class of which he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Wilson and Dorothy Wilson, a brother Robert Wilson and a sister Sharon Olson.
He is survived by Malda Wilson, of Savannah, a son, James Lee Wilson, Jr. his wife Sherry, of Savannah, Ga. and a daughter, Francis Hodges her husband Richard, of Richmond Hill, Ga., a sister Shirley Anders and husband Ken of Yuma, Az. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Christina Nollinger, Gloria Hodges of Richmond Hill, Ga. and Tripp Wilson of Savannah, Ga., two step-grandchildren-Jennifer Anderson and Chuck Sprinkle of Jacksonville, FL, six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Fairhaven, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Fairhaven, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Entombment will be in Hillcrest Abbey East Mausoleum.
