Elizabeth Lanier Howerton

She was born in Metter, Ga and was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Howerton.

She was the former owner of Juanita’s Mexican Restaurant, and a member of the Salvation Army.

She is survived by her children, Leonard William Carter (Heidi) of Savannah, Ga; Donna Dean (Rome), Hinesville, Ga; Joyce Vandeberry (Dean) of Pooler, Ga; and Linda James (Mike), of Savannah, Ga; 2 sisters, Juanita Fox and Bennie Spears both of Savannah, Ga; 8 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Fairhaven Funeral Home – Hubert C. Baker Chapel.

Funeral Services: 10 a.m. Thursday in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with interment in Hillcrest West Cemetery.
