Wes passed away peacefully on May 18, 2023 at the age 84 and is survived by his loving wife, Olga; two sons: Mark (Petrina) and Michael (Kimberly), three beautiful granddaughters: Julia, Morgan, and Everly, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his mother, Edith; father, Robert (Bob) and sister, Irene.
Wes was born in Whitewood, Saskatchewan in 1938 and graduated from high school in 1956. He was hired by the Whitewood Bank of Montreal after he graduated and spent 39 years working with the bank at numerous positions and branches primarily across the prairies. After retiring in 1995, Wes and Olga moved to Saskatoon, bought a condo and enjoyed “condo life”. He continued making make many friends during those years, enjoying retirement visiting his sons and their families, going out for a cup of coffee at A&W or Tim Horton’s and being a life-long Saskatchewan Roughrider fan, win or lose.
Wes was always involved in giving back to the communities he resided in through local service organizations including Kinsmen and the Lions Club, with whom he has been involved since 1982 and most recently received a life-time membership in 2022. He was active in many other local organizations throughout the years.
