It is with great sorrow & sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle & friend, on January 19th, 2019, surrounded by his loved ones. Bob was born in Regina on April 24th, 1938 where he resided until the family moved to Saskatoon in 1975. During his career he worked for SaskPower, SaskEnergy, and several other part-time jobs after his retirement from SaskPower in 1987. He is survived by his wife Flo, daughters Deanna (Ken Valentine), Brandon, Amanda and Jennifer; Lisa (Greg Krawchuk), Kendall & Garrett, sisters-in-law Freda Dolinshaw, Win Kozak, Eileen Tkachuk, also brother-in-law Alex Barber, and many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant brother Paul, father Charles, mother Catherine and brother Charles; also parents-in-law Matthew and Annie Barber; sisters-in-law Eileen Barber and Kay Pritchard; brothers-in-law John Kozak, Bill Barber & Tom Pritchard, and infant grandson Owen Krawchuk. Bob’s passion was golfing, which he enjoyed on a daily basis throughout his retirement and where he also made many great friends. He was a wonderful grandfather who watched his grandkids’ activities with enthusiasm. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. I. Das, Palliative Home Care, and the nurses and Staff of the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society; or to the St. Paul’s Palliative Care Unit in Bob’s memory.
