Marlene Marienhoff

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marlene Marienhoff of Allan, SK at the age of 87 years. Marlene was born and raised in Arborfield. She married Buzz in 1955, and after 39 moves, in 1964, they settled in Allan. Marlene worked various jobs in the town and ended up at the potash mine becoming the first woman to work on the production side. She worked there for 22 years until retiring in 1997. Marlene enjoyed gardening, visits with her family, and spending time at Emma Lake. Marlene is survived by her children Barb Stevens, Rick (Lou) Marienhoff, Donna Hayes; grandchildren Angie (Dean) Marchand, Greg Stevens, Krystal (Eric) Kennedy, Eric (Camila) Stevens, Joel, Brad, & Scott Hayes; 13 great grandchildren; brother Wayne (Marg) Stanley; brother in law Dale, sisters in law Ann, Joan, & Linda; very special friends Bert Ager, and Emil & Aneta Usselman; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Buzz, parents Dolly & Angus Brochu, parents in laws Alfred & Hazel Marienhoff, and son in law Dwane Hayes. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan. Service and internment will take place at a later date.
