Marge was born at home on the Beardy’s & Okemasis Cree Nation on January 13, 1946. Mom married Wallace Eagle of Whitecap Dakota Nation in 1974. She attained her Social Work Degree in 1982 with Great Distinction and returned to studies later on in life to receive a Master’s in Social Work at the age of 61. Mom loved gardening, watching and feeding the birds, sewing, crocheting and baking. She will be remembered for her many talents and skills.
She will be missed by her children: Colette (Frank), Gail and Gary; special grandsons: Bradon Eagle and Robert Bird Jr., grand daughters: Jenna and Korin, and adopted daughter: Tanya Severight. Great grandchildren: Parker, Mia, Dani, Nash, Sloane, Accalia and new addition in June 2024. Sisters: Shirley, Rita, June and Jean. Brother: Wes, as well as numerous extended family members.
Marge was predeceased by her one true love, Wallace Benjamin Eagle in 1984, her parents, Jean (John) and Anaise; siblings, Dolly, Louise, Gertie, and Richard. Also her dog Clipper Mac and her cat Minoose.
Thank you to everyone who shared how much Mom enriched their lives. Mom’s deep faith in God that sustained her through Indian Residential School. She was a true Christian, always following in the Faith of Jesus Christ. She will be laid to rest on the Whitecap Dakota Nation with her beloved Husband, Wallace.
A Private Ceremony will be held with immediate family.
